Thank
you for visiting our website. Upscale Resale was established
in 1995 by my mother, Vera. My parents have been blessed with the
opportunity to travel a lot, and Mom always checks out the consignment
and thrift stores anywhere they go. It was always her dream to
have her own store someday.
I worked for
her along with my sister-in-law, Anita, for many years. Things
could get pretty exciting since not only did Mom get to spend the day
with her daughters, but also with some of her grandchildren as well.
Anita and I brought our small children to work with us each day
and though it was a challenge at times, we wouldn't have had it any
other way.
We soon
outgrew our first location and built our existing building exclusively
to house Upscale Resale. In 2001, Mom decided to retire, and I
took over the business. Around the same time, Anita gave birth to
her third child and decided to stay home. I went from sales clerk
to owner and operator, and it was time to hire some outside help.
God has truly blessed me over the years with some outstanding
employees. I've seen young girls graduate high school, go through
college, get married, begin a career, and start their families.
I think of them as one of my own.
We all have a
strong spiritual background and are not ashamed of it. I
currently have four employees plus my fourteen year old daughter, Karlee,
who can run the store with her eyes shut. We also manage A to Z
self-storage with the storage buildings located behind our shop.
